EPI North Texas Chapter Event: The Secret Sauce of Managing the Exit Planning Process

On Thursday, October 12th at 5:30 p.m. Salmon Sims Thomas will host the monthly meeting for the North Texas Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute (EPI). Business ownership transition planning is not what most business owners and their advisors think it is. It involves preparing the business owner and his/her business for a successful transition, regardless of the strategy they wish to implement. The business owner must be financially prepared both mentally and personally and, the business must be sustainable under new ownership.

The speaker for the October chapter meeting will be Sean Hutcheson (CEPA). Sean is the CEO of Strategic Value Advisors and has advised more than 100 U.S. privately-held companies. During his session he will share the fine points of how he assesses the business owner’s current personal and business position. Key learning objectives will include:

  • How to determine if a prospective client is a qualified candidate for ownership transition planning srevices;
  • How to engage the business owner in the exit planning process;
  • How to assemble and manage the team of advisors;
  • How to implement key aspects of the exit planning process
